Power reducing transformers

Purpose

Power reducing transformers are intended for supply voltage reduction up to the level of consumer current collectors voltage. Auxiliary power transformers of electric substations and electric power plants are reducing transformers as well. This is the most commonly used type of transformers produced by KPM, LLC. They have standard design and characteristics, unless otherwise agreed upon with the Customer.

Basic Parameters

Rated voltages on high-voltage side are from 6 kV up to 20 kV.

Voltage control steps on high-voltage side: ±2х2.5%; ±5%.

Rated voltages on low-voltage side: 0.23 kV, 0.4 kV, 0.69 kV.

Typical value of resistive losses (% from the rated power):

  • For transformers of up to 1000 kVA — 0.3...0.35%.
  • For transformers of above 1000 kVA — 0.2%.

Typical value Uk = 5...6%.

Winding arrangement and vector group is as per GOST R 52719-2007.
