KPM Company produced the 26th TSZE-160/6 U1 excavator transformer for EVRAZ Kachkanar mining and processing plant in January 2020. EVRAZ KGOK JSC is one of the five largest mining enterprises in Russia.
In 2014, KPM LLC delivered the first TSZE-160/6 U1 to the plant. During this period, transformers on almost all excavators of EVRAZ KGOK JSC were replaced with products of KPM LLC.
Chief Power Engineer of the United Energy Service of Open-Cut Mine Management Bagin V.V. has many years of experience with dry-type transformers, and he has duly appreciated the products of our plant:
“Not even a single transformer has failed over 6 years of operation. Transformers are installed directly on an iron-ore excavator. Despite the fact that conductive dust from iron ore penetrates the vertical cooling channels, this does not cause breakdown and short circuit between the turns, since the wire is thoroughly insulated with a polyimide-fluoroplastic film coated with two layers of fiber glass filament impregnated with a heat-resistant organosilicone compound”.
The monolithic character of the windings on TSZE-160/6 U1 is achieved due to their manufacturing technology, which is similar to the manufacture of dry-type reactor windings of KPM LLC. The insulation withstands high and low temperatures, materials are durable and do not change their properties. Transformer windings cannot be a source of ignition. Performance indicators of KPM LLC dry-type transformers are vastly superior to the requirements of Regulations for Operation of Consumer Electrical Installations.
